Project Objective: To develop an innovative Model Predictive Control (MPC) neural network architecture for managing heating systems in multi-apartment buildings and to evaluate its effectiveness. The project aims to enhance energy efficiency, improve forecasting accuracy, and increase resident comfort. It will involve comparing different neural network architectures for buildings of varying sizes, optimizing network configuration parameters, and creating scalable methods for transitioning from traditional control systems to data-driven MPC. The goal of this transition is to achieve significant energy savings and reduce the carbon footprint in the European Union (EU) building sector, including in Latvia.
