Heat Consumption Metering System
HCMS is a Latvia-developed system for apartment buildings that accurately tracks the heat consumption of each riser and radiator in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Data is collected online via temperature sensors with built-in radio transmitters – no modifications to the heating system are required.
Residents can view:
– heat consumption of each apartment and room
– hot water and circulation usage
– heat losses in common areas (such as staircases and basements)

How does HCMS work?
Heating risers in apartments are equipped with the Heat Consumption Monotoring System, and their data is read remotely. The data is aggregated and sent to a central server. Heat costs per apartment are then calculated based on a method approved during a building meeting.

Heat Consumption Monitoring System
- Fair heat consumption accounting
- More efficient energy use
- Reduced overall costs
HCMS is a Latvia-developed, tested, and reliable system that ensures accurate heat consumption tracking for each apartment in physical units – kilowatt-hours (kWh).
It operates based on the heat meter principle and allows real-time monitoring of how much heat is consumed by each section of the heating riser and heating element.
The system promotes fair heat distribution, enables residents to adjust their consumption, and ultimately helps reduce costs. Installation does not require modifications to the heating system, and data is read remotely and automatically integrated into invoices, minimizing human error.
