New regulation for heat energy metering – new rules adopted
The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted new regulations that establish clearer and more modern principles for individual heat energy consumption metering in apartment buildings.
ECENGO is actively shaping the future standard for heat consumption monitoring systems in the management of multi-apartment buildings across Europe. ECENGO’s participation in the Three Seas Initiative Summit and Business Forum in Poland had a strategic goal: to build international partnerships and increase visibility in the European market.
Buildings account for nearly 40% of Europe’s total energy consumption. To reduce losses and costs, transparent and data-driven solutions are essential.
ECENGO HCMS allows each apartment to pay only for their actual share of consumed heat. The system works automatically — wireless sensors, secure data transmission, and transparent billing. Everything is handled digitally, without manual intervention.
When everyone pays based on actual energy use, new habits emerge: those who use heat wisely benefit the most. This kind of system promotes responsible consumption and motivates building management optimization.
At the forum, ECENGO presented how HCMS works and its benefits, highlighting Latvia’s expertise in building digitalization and heat metering. The goal was to establish new contacts and form partnerships with European countries where energy efficiency, transparency, and automated billing are increasingly important.
ECENGO will continue to grow its international presence by promoting HCMS — a solution that increases building energy efficiency, automates billing, and builds trust between managers and residents.
